Command An Army Star Limit: How Loadout Stars Work
Think of it as a budget. New accounts start small (MimoBlox had 5 stars on launch day), so one 4-star unit can eat most of it. You can still own units that do not fit yet; they wait in your inventory until the limit catches up.

How to build under the limit
- Fill roles before rarity. Something to hold the front, something to shoot, something fast. A second 4-star that does the same job as your first wastes stars.
- Use Equip Best, then check it. The button picks your strongest units, but it will happily field three melee units and no ranged support.
- Ascended low-star units are cheap power. An Ascension 3 Scout Rider still costs only 2 stars. See Ascension.
- Plan for level 15. The fourth slot changes what fits, so save a slot for a unit you are levelling towards evolution.
Star limit FAQ
Why can I not equip my new 4-star unit?
Adding it would push your equipped stars over your limit. Swap out a cheaper unit or level your account until the limit is high enough; the unit stays in your inventory in the meantime, so do not delete it.
How do I increase my star limit?
Level up your account. XP comes from matches and from daily and weekly quests, and every few levels the limit rises. The exact star limit per level has not been published.
How many units can I equip?
Up to four units in one loadout, which is the cap in the game description. The fourth slot opens at account level 15, and every unit you slot still has to fit under the star limit.
